First national paramedic competition will be held Oct. 3

SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- The 1st National Paramedic Competition will be held Oct. 3 in
Syracuse, New York. This is the day after the National Association of EMTs Conference.

There are 4 person teams, with both EMTs and paramedics.  The prize is $10,000.
