EMS awards presented in Owensboro
Special
recognition given to the Heath High School shooting incident responders

OWENSBORO
The state EMS awards were presented during a special ceremony in Owensboro tonight
and included a special recognition given to the Heath High School shooting incident
responders.
The award
recipients were:
- Kentucky EMT
of the Year: Michael Trent, Knox County EMS, Barbourville.
- Kentucky
Paramedic of the Year: Paul De Spain, Community Methodist Hospital EMS, Barbourville.
- Kentucky EMS
Educator of the Year: Bob Price, Somerset-Pulaski County EMS
- Kentucky
Meritorious Service Special Award: Responders to the Heath High School shooting incident,
Mercy Regional EMS, Paducah. This includes Ben Bradford, Rickie Driskill, G. T. Garrison,
Stoy Gates, Jeramy Jeffrey, Jason Lane, Kevin Lynn, and Tracy Rudolph.
- Kentucky EMT
Instructors Association Dr. Jack Carey Award: Bobby Burnett, Campbellsville.
- Kentucky
State Council of the Emergency Nurses Association Emergency Nurse of the Year: Beverly
Hart.
- Kentucky
Chapter, Association of Air Medical Services Wings Award: John Isfort, University of
Kentucky Air Medical Services, Lexington.
