Kentucky AAMS amends bylaws By JOHN
HULTGREN OWENSBORO The Kentucky Chapter of the Association of Air Medical Services has approved changes to their bylaws. Their membership met last night in Owensboro at the Kentucky EMS Conference. None of the changes were major and were mostly done to clarify the existing bylaws or make them closer to their national association guidelines. The changes include:
Association secretary Rick McKinstry said the changes were made to "Clear up language and try to make it simpler and clearer." The changes in the bylaws were unanimously approved by a vote of the membership. They must now be sent to the association's national office for their approval before they can be enacted. In other business, it was announced that a subcommittee formed to review and revise the air medical regulations have identified twelve areas for further research and review. The association also voted to support the Coalition for Safe Highways.
