CTCR's Brian Newton dies at 43
He was 43. Funeral services were held last Sunday. Newton joined CTCR in 1978. He was also a long-time member of the board of directors for Campbellsville's Fourth of July Celebration. Newton was also a radio and television personality in Campbellsville since his high school days. He relinquished his duties on the Rescue board of directors just this past June. "He was community minded, 100 percent," said his friend and fellow Rescue member Mike Ramsey, deputy chief. "It was never what he wanted, but what the community needed."
