Hospital strike still scheduled PRESTONSBURG Despite late-night negotiations Friday, 400 workers at Highlands Regional Medical Center still plan to strike at noon Monday, a union official said yesterday. No more negotiations are slated between now and Monday between the 184-bed facility near Prestonsburg and the 400 workers who are scheduled to strike, said Dave Regan, president of District 1199 of the Service Employees International Union. The two sides talked until 11 p.m. Friday. The hospital has said it will remain open on a limited scale if the employees strike.
