EMS Leadership and Responsibilities Workshop next weekend

VERSAILLES — An EMS Leadership and Responsibilities Workshop, presented and co-sponsored by the Kentucky Ambulance Providers Association, the Kentucky State Office of Rural Health, and the Eastern Kentucky University Institute of Government and funded through a grant from the State Office of Rural Health, will be held June 21 at the Corbin Technical Center.

This workshop will provide EMS Board members and managers with an intensive, one-day overview of their responsibilities, administrative strategies, tactics and methods, and opportunities for leadership.  The workshop will blend basic material for new managers and Board members with more advanced material for experienced EMS staff. 

Topics covered include Board Organization, Meetings and Responsibilities; Leadership and Planning; Fiscal and Budgetary Oversight and Leadership; and Human Resources Oversight and Leadership.

The workshop will be held at the Corbin Technical Center, 222 Corbin Center Drive in Corbin, KY, on June 21 from 9 AM - 4 PM EDT. Lunch will be provided.
