PHI opens new base in Williamstown

PHI Air Medical of Kentucky Press Release

WILLIAMSTOWNPHI Air Medical would like to announce the opening of its newest base located at St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Grant Co.  The addition of the Williamstown base will increase the coverage area in the northern KY region as well as minimize response times to some areas already served.  Operations will begin May 8, 2008 providing 24 hour coverage for inter-facility transports and pre-hospital scene response to the region.  PHI is known for the quality patient care and customer service provided to the customer in all areas of the air medical industry.

The base will be equipped with a new EC-135 medical helicopter and a crew comprised of a Flight Nurse, Flight Paramedic and a Pilot.  PHI crews are trained and experienced in critical care and transport of patients with a variety of complex medical needs.  To enhance the safety of night operations night vision goggles are also utilized by PHI statewide in KY.

The PHI Air Medical Group is a provider of quality air medical services in both rotor and fixed wing aircraft throughout the United States and has provided service in Kentucky since 1987.  PHI has five bases in Kentucky—Lexington, Morehead, London, Paducah and Williamstown.
