SB 66 grant applications due Jan. 15

FRANKFORT — The fiscal year 2007 Grant applications have been mailed out to the County Judge Executives. If you need a copy of the application it is available at www.kbems.ky.gov.

Depending on the total number of applications that are received during this cycle, each county could receive a minimum of ten thousand dollars ($10,000.00).   Remember - this grant no longer requires a match of any funds by the fiscal court and that pursuant to KRS 311A.155 (5) a county may keep funds appropriated to them for a period of two (2) years, if desired, for expenditures on the items identified in the application.

The submission of the application is extremely time sensitive.  To be considered for this grant cycle your County Judge must fully complete the application and have it postmarked no later than January 15, 2007.  Any application not postmarked by that date will not be considered.  In addition this year, we are requesting that the receipts for the equipment purchased in the 2005 & 2006 grant cycle be sent in with this application. 

A posting of the applications received should be on the KBEMS website by the end of the day Friday January 5, 2007.  Please remember that if the documentation for the 2005 and 2006 grant cycles is not submitted as requested your application will not be processed until that information has been received.
