LOUISVILLE — A morning car crash has claimed the life of Theresa Martin, a well-known and respected Kentucky EMS Instructor for almost thirty years.

The crash occurred shortly after 6 AM in Meade County near Fort Knox.

Martin's Kentucky instructor number was 96. She was an active instructor and has served as past president of the Emergency Medical Service Educators of Kentucky Association.

"Theresa was a true believer that our life of study was incomplete unless we shared what we learn with others; in our families, our churches, EMS, our workplaces, our local communities, and the world community, " wrote Eva Prewitt, a friend and fellow EMS instructor.

"Let your thoughts be with Wayne, their daughters and grandchildren," wrote Steve Burton, another friend and fellow EMS instructor. "Remember to the responders who, I am sure, felt the loss while at the scene."

Funeral arrangements have not yet been made.
