Paramedic student dies at home

HYDEN — Tom Harmon, 47, a Clay County EMT and a paramedic student at Knox County EMS, died Monday at his home from an apparent heart attack.

Harmon began his EMS career five years ago as a mechanic for Clay County EMS, eventually becoming an EMT.

Visitation will be begin Wednesday at 6 p.m. and continue all day Thursday. The funeral will be held Friday at 1 p.m. All services will be conducted at the Walker Funeral Home in Hyden.
