Paramedic scholarship applications being accepted The Community Foundation of Louisville Press Release LOUISVILLE — The Community Foundation of Louisville is accepting applications to the Brian Jennemann Memorial Scholarship Fund, an endowment created by Brian’s parents to honor his life and commitment to helping others. On July 20, 2001, Brian passed away after a brief battle with meningococcal meningitis. Brian was a dedicated Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) with the Jefferson County Emergency Medical Services who was known for his love of the profession. Required Qualifications The Brian Jennemann Memorial Scholarship Fund annually awards four scholarship grants of up to $1,500 each to deserving residents of Kentucky and Tennessee who demonstrate a desire, interest and commitment to being a paramedic. Applicants must be 18 years or older and accepted into a licensed, certified paramedic training program. Selections will be based on the applicant’s passion for paramedic training and commitment to serving the public. Grants will be paid directly to an educational institution, fire department, city, county or other organization that offers a licensed, certified paramedic training program. How to Apply To be considered, a completed application form, plus all required documents and attachments, must be received or postmarked by no later than July 15, 2006.
