PRESTONSBURGThe Floyd County Emergency and Rescue Squad annual fishing tournament will be held on Saturday, May 13.

The event is held every year around spring. When we first started this fundraiser we had five boats. We now usually have over 150 boats registered. Prizes are awarded for first, second, and third place. We also have an optional "Big Fish" category where simply the person with the largest bass wins. Door prizes are donated by local businesses and are drawn from the registrants.

The tournament is held every year at the beautiful Jenny Wiley State Resort Park at Prestonsburg. Over $7000 in cash, plus door prizes are guaranteed! The annual bass tournament will be from 7 a.m. - 3 p.m. at the Swimming Pool Hollow. Entry fee is $100 per boat (2 fishermen allowed per boat). Entry is limited to 200 boats.
Pre registration will be held Friday May 12 at swimming pool hollow under the tent from 7 p.m. till 8:00 p.m. Drawing for launch position will be at 8pm. If you cannot be here for the drawing pre-register and we will draw your position for you. All other entrees will start according to first come on Saturday morning.

For an entry form, official rules, or more information go to http://www.floydcountyrescue.com. If you aren't interested in fishing, and would like to come over and hang out you're welcome to do so. We usually have many entries from others in the public safety field.

FCERS would like to thank the sponsors for its Annual Bass Tournament.
