Kentucky EMS contingent leaving for Texas Thursday evening

FRANKFORT — The Kentucky Board of Emergency Medical Services has received a new request for emergency personnel and services through an EMAC agreement from the state of Texas.

The staff of KBEMS has worked non-stop over the last twelve hours to secure the necessary personnel, vehicles, and supplies to meet the immediate needs of this particular request.

Because of the nature of this specific request individual volunteers should contact their local EMS provider and have them contact the EMS desk at the Emergency Operations Center in Frankfort at (502) 607-6926. 

The group will be staging and eventually deploying from the Medical Center in Bowling Green, Kentucky at 6:00 P.M. Central Time.  The current destination for the contingent is Victoria, Texas.
