Katrina disaster response update

FRANKFORT (1645 hrs) — At this time KBEMS continues to gather a list of available resources to potentially deploy to southern states. 

No actual deployment date or time has been set. FEMA is still assessing and identifying needs for Emergency Management Agreement Compact (EMAC) missions.

We are asking everyone to please be patient.

If your are a service director and have determined that you have resources available, please contact the KBEMS office, Brian Bishop (502) 330-9001, or by e-mail at brian.bishop@ky.gov.

Additionally, we have been notified that hospitals across the Commonwealth
will be receiving patients from the south, so you are encouraged to contact
your local hospital to determine any additional local transport needs that
may arise as this event continues. 

For those services that have contacted KBEMS with available resources, you will be notified of any deployment request as soon as they are received by the KBEMS office.
