Hardin County hires new EMS director

ELIZABETHTOWNHardin County Fiscal Court voted unanimously yesterday to hire Reiner A. Legaspi as director of Hardin County Ambulance Service.

Legaspi is a registered nurse with emergency department experience at Norton Southwest Hospital and University of Louisville Hospital.

According to the News Enterprise, Legaspi will be paid a starting salary of $48,000 a year with a five percent raise after six months. Nine people, out of 45 applicants, were interviewed for the position.

Legaspi will assume his new position on July 18 and replaced Barry Brown, who recently retired.
