KBEMS' elects new chair By
JOHN HULTGREN FRANKFORT — The Kentucky Board of EMS elected Robert Rothenburger, a county judge executive and a paramedic, as their new chairman today at a board meeting in Frankfort. Rothenburger, who is the Shelby County Judge Executive, was appointed to KBEMS by the Governor to represent county judge executives operating a licensed class 1 ground ambulance service. Rothenburger has worked as a paramedic with Shelby County EMS since 1978. He is also a retired chief of the Shelbyville Fire Department and a former employee of Jefferson County EMS. John Blumenstock, the executive director of Louisville Medical Center STATCARE and who represents air ambulance services in Kentucky, was elected vice chair.
