Funeral arrangements for Mike Wallin

Winchester Fire and EMS

WINCHESTER — It is with great sorrow that the Winchester Fire-EMS joins with the Wallin Family to announce the death of Mike Wallin, on December 25, 2004 following long illness.

Mike became an EMT in 1976, and worked for the Winchester-Clark County Ambulance Service.  In 1979, Mike completed his Paramedic certification course (Paramedic #209-P) at the Lexington Fire Department in one of its first Paramedic Courses.  Following the merger of the Winchester-Clark County Ambulance Service into the Winchester Fire-EMS, Mike attained certification as a Kentucky certified firefighter.  Mike worked as a Firefighter-Paramedic until his retirement from the Winchester Fire-EMS in 1998.

Mike had a strong love for EMS and gave back to the profession serving as a CPR and ACLS instructor for many years, as well as serving as a Preceptor Paramedic for Paramedic Interns.

Visitation will be Tuesday December 28th from 6-8pm at the Scobee Funeral Home in Winchester with the funeral at 1 pm on Wednesday December 29th, also at the Scobee Funeral Home.
