James Ritchey retires from KAPA By
JOE BRADSHAW BARBOURVILLE — The Kentucky Ambulance Providers Association announced this week the retirement of Jim Ritchey from KAPA. Jim served as the Director of Anderson County EMS for many years, and has served as KAPA's Legislative Committee chairman. He has been instrumental in the writing and passage of EMS legislation in Kentucky for several years. Jim plans on some much needed rest and family time, and then will be entering law school next year. Sherman Hockenbury, KAPA vice president elect, will be replacing Jim as Legislative Committee chairman. According to Hockenbury, Medicaid reform will be the main focus for this legislative session. KAPA would like to say "Thank you" to Jim and best wishes in the future.
