The Kentucky Association of EMTs and the Kentucky EMS Olympics would like to take this time to thank all of the people that helped with the 2004 EMS Olympics. This year was another banner year for the Olympics. EMS personnel from across this great state of Kentucky came together to perform, and some of the best were here. As Chairman of the 2004 Kentucky EMS Olympics I would like to thank each person who competed, and to offer them a chance to do it again. The 2005 EMS Olympics are in the planning stage and will be bigger and better. I am no longer the Chairman, but as KAEMT President will be working closely with the new chairman to help and assist her in anyway possible.
I would like to thank all of the sponsors for their finical support, but most of all these people: KAPA, STATCARE, AirEvac, Boundtree Medical, Mountain Valley, KAT, Morehead Rowan County Tourism, EMSEK, Area 2 State Fire Rescue. Without the finical support of these people this could not be done. There are more and if I have forgotten anyone please forgive me.
A special thanks goes to all the judges and people who worked at both the regional and state level to help organize and hold each competition.
At this time I would like to remind all EMS personnel from across this state that the EMS Olympics Committee is now in the process of taking application for judges for both regional and state levels, and hosting agencies. If you would like to do either please go online to www.kaemt.com go to Olympics link, http://www.kaemt.com/Olympics/photo.htm and fill out an application for the 2005 EMS Olympics. Application deadlines are December 31st, 2004.
