Louisville Fire & Rescue Pipes and Drums holds beginner classes By
CAPT. JAMES A. KUCHENBROD LOUISVILLE — For the past eight years, the Louisville Fire & Rescue Pipes and Drums have served the regional community by providing music for parades, ceremonies, funerals and memorial services. Over those years, several members of various local fire, police and EMS agencies and civilians have joined the “Pipe Band” to serve the community and have fun doing it, and the group is looking for more emergency services personnel and civilians who would like to join them. If you would like to find out more about the Pipes and Drums, come to an informational meeting at the Camp Taylor Fire Station at 4649 Poplar Level Road (1.4 miles south of I-264) on Wednesday, November 3 at 1800 hours. We practice from 1700-2000 and will take a break to meet with you and answer questions you may have about the band. You can also contact Capt. James A. Kuchenbrod at (502) 574-4247 or jim.kuchenbrod@loukymetro.org for more information.
