Former KBEMS chair named Fort Thomas fire chief

FORT THOMAS — Mark Bailey has been selected as the new Fort Thomas fire chief.

Bailey, a captain with the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport Fire Department, is a paramedic and a former chair of the Kentucky Board of EMS. He serves as vice president for the Emergency Medical Service Educators of Kentucky association and sits on the Kentucky EMS Academy Advisory Committee.

Bailey will assume his new duties on Nov. 1. He was selected from 43 applicants and replaces Dave Edmondson, who is retiring.

Bailey earned an undergraduate degree from Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green and a graduate degree from the University of Cincinnati.
