Bluegrass and gospel benefit to aid paralyzed EMT

By BOBBY MOORE
EKEMS Public Relations

PIKEVILLE Emergency Medical Technician Patricia Castle was injured in an ambulance accident in Pike Co. on 5/06/04.   Pat has been left with paralysis, which resulted in numerous doctors’ bills and other expenses.   Due to this, Pikeville super Wal-Mart, DHP Ambulance Service and Medflight of East Kentucky are sponsoring a bluegrass and gospel benefit show on September 4 with all proceeds going to Pat and her family.

An auction of donated items will be held during the benefit as well.   If anyone is interested in donating an auction item or making cash contribution please contact the above numbers.

Pat is a delightful person, a great friend and an excellent E.M.T.   She has worked in Eastern Kentucky for over 10 years and served this community well.   Most commonly in our profession we are not give the thanks that we sometimes have earned, but now we are asking that you remember Pat in your prayers and try to help her through this rough road ahead.
