KAT distributing landing zone/scene safety kits

Kentucky Aeromedical Team Press Release

LEXINGTON Kentucky Aeromedical Team (KAT) is pleased to provide Landing Zone/Scene Safety Kits to area EMS, police, and fire services.  As a part of its charitable culture, KAT is especially interested in providing the kits to those services that have little access to operational funds.

The Flight Site kits, manufactured by Priority 1, will clearly assist in continuing to address the motivation to improve the safety of scene flight operations as identified by KAAMS and KBEMS.  The Flight Site kits contain five battery powered strobe lights and anchors.  An entire landing zone can be activated in minutes.  The kits are also pilot tested and recommended for utilization in the scene flight application.  More information regarding the system can be found at www.priority1lss.com.

KAT president, Gary Stromberg states, “KAT will continue to prioritize the expenditure of its dollars towards the provision of products and services which will directly benefit EMS services and the communities they serve, rather than to spend dollars unnecessarily on “trinkets and toys.””

To arrange for the acquisition of a kit and an in-service, contact Liz Schroeder, KAT’s Safety Director, at lschroeder@callthekat.com or through www.callthekat.com
