Pike officials question DHP's air transport requests

PIKEVILLE — Pike County emergency response officials are questioning the actions of a local ambulance service in its choice of air transport services.

Pike Emergency Management Director Doug Tackett said he is aware of situations where DHP ambulance service has called a company from outside of Pike County when the Pikeville-based MedFlight of East Kentucky was available.
