2004 Spring Local Officials Training Conference

The Board of Directors for the Kentucky Ambulance Providers Association announces the 2004 Spring Local Officials Training Conference at Marriott's Griffin Gate Resort in Lexington, Ky., on March 26, 2004 from 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. The fee is $200.00 and includes eight hours of HB 810 credit. One fee allows local elected officials, EMS managers, EMS supervisors and administrative staff to attend.

Agenda:

• 8:00 - 10:00 - A review of Kentucky laws and administrative regulations for Emergency Medical Services (Charles O'Neal, KBEMS Deputy Executive Director)
• 10:15 - 12:15 - The lingering impact of 9-11-2001 on Public Safety Services (John Horton, Chief of Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport)
• 12:15 - 1:15 - Lunch (Governor Fletcher is the invited luncheon speaker)
• 1:15 - 3:15 - Reimbursement Issues - A lingering crisis for EMS in Kentucky (911 Billing Services, Medicare Officials, Medicaid Officials)
• 3:30 - 4:30 - Managing your local EMS budget through innovative and diverse services (Anthony D. Stratton, County Judge/Executive)
• 4:45 - 5:45 - EMS Legislative Update (Joe Bradshaw, President of KAPA, James Ritchey, KAPA Legislative Representative to the Kentucky General Assembly)

Your "luncheon tickets" are included in the $200.00 fee
Each local government unit must make your own room reservations if you plan to stay overnight
