LifeNet announces new program director

LifeNet Air Medical Services Press Release

LEXINGTON LifeNet has announced that Tim Smith has been named as Program Director of LifeNet Air Medical Services. Mr. Smith has  been with the program since September 2002 serving in the capacity of Flight Paramedic and Director of Program Development.

Mr. Smith has 21 years of EMS experience, 10 of those years in the air medical industry. He also comes to us with 6 years of hospital administration and fire services experience. Mr. Smith is also involved in EMS education and is on the guest faculty at Western Kentucky University. He has been employed with SKYCARE, STATFlight, UK Air Medical Services, Jewish Hospital Healthcare Services, Medical Center EMS in Bowling Green, and Shelby County EMS.

LifeNet Air Medical Services is the only nationally accredited air medical program in the region providing services to Central and Eastern Kentucky. LifeNet is the largest operation in the state and has been providing critical care and trauma services to the area since 1990. We have helicopters based in Morehead, London, Whitesburg and Versailles and fixed-wing airplane located in Lexington.

LifeNet Air Medical Services provides round-the-clock emergency air service to critically ill or injured patients and enhances the capabilities of local emergency medical service responders and health-care facilities.
