EMS license plate bill on hold until 2004 session

LOUISVILLE — A bill to create a special EMS license plate is now on hold until the 2004 Kentucky legislative session.

The 2003 Kentucky legislative session, which begins on Jan. 7, is a short session that is expected to focus on the state budget, which has been in a crisis situation since last Spring's session. Because special license plate bills have become increasingly difficult to pass, Sen. Julie Rose Denton, who has agreed to sponsor the bill, believes it would be better to wait for the next full session.
