LifeNet opens newest base today in Versailles LifeNet
Press Release LEXINGTON — In an effort to provide increased access to full-time air medical services to the State of Kentucky, LifeNet officially placed into service its newest base of operations at Bluegrass Community Hospital in Versailles, KY on Monday, October 28, 2002. LifeNet's newest base will complement its other rotor wing bases in London, Middlesboro, and Morehead, and its fixed wing base in Lexington. "We are pleased to continue to provide to the communities in the region a non-political, independent, high-quality air medical transport service without placing any financial burden on the region's hospitals for its service provision, unlike other hospital operated programs in the nation," stated Gary Stromberg, LifeNet’s Program Director. Each of the program's rotor wing bases are identical and currently operate new Bell 407 aircraft and provide patient care utilizing registered nurse and paramedic teams. All of LifeNet's bases are continually motivated to exceed customer expectations as verified by its CAMTS accreditation (www.camts.org). CAMTS accreditation represents a program's commitment to aviation and clinical safety, education, training, and CQI processes. Any of LifeNet's bases may be accessed by contacting its Emergency Communications Center at 1-800-678-9811.
