Paramedic John Hunter dies on-duty By
JOHN HULTGREN Booneville — Paramedic John Hunter, 34, died while on the job following a run yesterday. A short time earlier, John treated a cardiac arrest patient and had just returned to his station and restocked his ambulance. He told co-workers that he wanted to lay down for a couple of minutes, and while taking another call on the phone in his sleeping quarters, he dropped the phone. Co-workers found him in cardiac arrest. John was transported to a hospital in Jackson but was not resuscitated. John worked for Allen's Ambulance Service in Booneville, Ky. He was EMT number 34813, and paramedic number 2201. Arnett's Funeral Home in Pineville will be in charge of funeral arrangements, which are not complete at this time. The funeral will be at Beverly Methodist Church in Clay County.
