KBEMS chairperson resigns from board By
JOHN HULTGREN FRANKFORT — Mark Bailey, the chairperson for the Kentucky Board of EMS since its inception, has reportedly resigned from the board. An announcement was reportedly made at the board's meeting last week. Anthony Stratton has reportedly been named the new chairperson. Bailey was appointed to the board in September, 2000, by Governor Patton to represent fire service based licensed Class I ground ambulance service administrators. He was elected chairperson at the board's first meeting and re-elected chair last September. His appointment to the board was to expire on Sept. 19, 2004. Bailey is also a Kentucky Ambulance Providers Association board member and president of the Kentucky EMT-Instructors Association. Stratton, the Anderson County Judge/Executive, represents county judge/executives operating a licensed Class I ground ambulance service.
