LOUISVILLE — The Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) has extended the application deadline for the approximately $12,500,000 that will be available during fiscal year 2002 for grants, technical assistance, and program evaluation for the purchase, placement and training in the use of automated external defibrillators (AEDs) and related activities in eligible rural areas.

The Kentucky EMS Connection reported yesterday that the application deadline was May 27.

Karen Moulton, who has been working with Bullitt County agencies, called Evan Mayfield at the Office of Rural Health Policy in Maryland this morning. Mayfield said that they have extended this deadline through June 7, 2002.
