Funeral arrangements for Terry Raney

MORGANFIELD EMT Terry Raney, 45, Morganfield, died Sunday, March 17, 2002, at Regional Medical Center in Madisonville.

"He will be dearly missed. He always had a smile on his face and a joke to cheer up a person," said Union County EMS paramedic Richard Turner.

Raney was an EMT for Union County Methodist Hospital and a member of the EMT Association. He was a former Morganfield volunteer firefighter and rescue squad member. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Morganfield and was retired from Rayloc. 

He was preceded in death by one daughter, Allison Raney, who died in 1982.

Survivors include his wife of 22 years, Leah Raney; two daughters, Rachel Raney and Katie Raney, both of Morganfield; his parents, Pete and Gerry Raney of Morganfield; one sister, Kristie Adamson of Waverly; and his grandmother, Vernell Bates of Carmi, Ill.

Services will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church in Morganfield. The Rev. Mark Galloway will officiate. Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Morganfield.

Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. today and after 11 a.m. Wednesday at Whitsell Funeral Home in Morganfield.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to First Baptist Churchin Morganfield or Relay for Life.
