KBEMS ordered to pay rent By
JOHN HULTGREN FRANKFORT — The Kentucky Board of EMS was summoned to Governor Paul Patton's yesterday and ordered to pay approximately $38,000 in back rent. KBEMS has been using offices in the Kentucky Cabinet for Health Services Building in Frankfort since late 2000 while waiting to acquire their own office building. KBEMS replaced the EMS Branch, which had offices in the same building. The Cabinet had promised the state legislature that they would not charge KBEMS rent because of the state's part in a delay moving KBEMS to their new office.
