Update on Jim Inman's family

LOUISVILLE — The following information has been provided by Area 3 EMA Manager Rick Cox and Kentucky Ambulance Providers Association president Mike Swift regarding Hancock County EMS Director Jim Inman.

Nathan Inman, Jim's 21 month old grandson, is in guarded condition but is showing some signs of improvement. He is scheduled for surgery on Monday for debridement. If his condition continues improve, surgeons will start doing skin grafts on Tuesday. Preliminary estimates indicate that he will be in the hospital for at least six months.

Jesse, Jim's 10 year old grand-daughter, is listed in fair condition and is conscious, alert and able to ambulate. She will continue to receive treatment for her injuries and it is thought that she may be in the hospital for at least a month.

Funeral arrangements for Jim's daughter-in-law, Jamie, 24, and her daughter, Hannah Hutchinson, 3, are as follows. Joint visitation will begin on Friday, Feb. 15 from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. CST at the Gibson & Son Funeral Home in Hawesville (behind the Hawesville Courthouse). A joint funeral service will be conducted on Saturday, February 16th at the Pellville Baptist Church on KY 2181 in Pellville (one mile north of KY 144) in Hancock county.

Those in the emergency management community are invited to participate in visitation as a group on Friday at 4:00 p.m. For details, contact the Area 3 office at 270.687.7008 or 502.607.1603.

Hancock County EMS personnel have opened relief accounts in care of "Scott Inman Family" at the following banks:

  • Hancock Bank and Trust (270.927.8855)
  • Firstar Bank (270.927.6906) and
  • Independence Bank (270.927.1007)

Persons wishing to make contributions for the Inman family, who lost all theri possessions in the fire, may do so to by contacting the Hancock Bank & Trust, Firstar, or Independence Bank where special accounts have been set up for the Inmans.

A local effort has begun to re-establish household items.

Local responders were offered defusing last Friday and a debriefing will be conducted tomorrow at the Pellville Fire Department, conducted by a state KCCRD Team. 

Jim is in Cincinnati with his two sons and daughter.
