STATCARE makes emergency landing

PROGRAM NAME & ADDRESS: STATCARE 2807 Taylorsville Rd Louisville, KY 40205

VENDOR: Corporate Jets

AIRCRAFT TYPE & TAIL #: Dauphin N2XJ

WEATHER: Not a Direct Factor

TEAM MEMBERS: Robert Robinson, Pilot; Greg Howell, Flight Nurse; Joe Vetter, Flight Paramedic

PATIENT ON BOARD: Yes

EMERGENCY LANDING: Aircraft sat in heavy rain for one day. Aircraft was then repositioned inside of hangar due to impending cold weather. Following morning aircraft was moved out of hangar and run up. Shortly thereafter aircraft was dispatched to scene. While enroute to facility, trapped water on tail rotor controls froze leaving pilot with stuck pedals. Pilot made a successful emergency landing with no damage to aircraft or passengers. Patient and medical crew transported by ground to receiving facility.
