[See related article.] The seven technicians were suspended for 29 days after their ambulance ran out of gas during a run on I-65. Fire Chief Greg Frederick accused the workers of failing to follow proper procedures by filling up the ambulance in between runs. But the EMS workers are telling a different story to the Louisville Civil Service Board. Herb Segal, the technicians attorney, says the workers have been maligned and convicted by the news media. He's asking the Louisville Civil Service Board to overturn their suspensions.
