Medicare Fee Schedule Impact Analysis Tool, version 2.0

POWAY, California — I am pleased to announce the release of Medicare Fee Schedule Impact Analysis Tool Version 2.0.

This is a major revision from the first tool.  New features include:

1. A page with the estimated Transition Fees for each year of the phase-in adjusted for GPCI, Billing Method, and Provider type (hospital or other).

2. Fees for Air Ambulance are now included.

3. There are separate Revenue Projection sheets for Carrier paid suppliers and Intermediary paid providers (hospitals).

4. Transition Fees computations include the methods proposed by HCFA in the September 18, 2000 Program Memorandum AB-00-88.

5. The latest inflation factor is used as well as the GPCIs for both 2001 and 2002.
